I think I get the main gist of it, but I’m still a little confused. Thank you!

Dude, there are so many spheres in that game, I think they have spheres coming out of the spheres.
I think what you are talking about is the sphere grid where you do your leveling up at. Its not too hard really. You get these spheres to plug in, and you just move along a line to grab more stats and abilities. When you reach a fork, just look ahead and see which abilities you’d like to get first. There’s no need to worry about it; once you fill out most of them you can actually go back and erase the low stat spheres and replace them with high stat ones. So in the beginning just focus on getting as many as possible.
if you are talking about the shpere grid then it is much easyer than it looks ((thankfully)) you go on to the grid and look by your charecters head there is a line exstending from it with noods on it ((the circles)) as you fight battles you collect speres that actovate these noods when you selcet them, to move around the bord you use the points that you collect from battles, to do this u press X then move with the Dpad
You mean the Sphere Grid? Certainly.
Each spot on the sphere grid is a certain stat (speed, attack, defense, etc) or new move (Haste, Cure, etc). Every battle you finish gets you AP, which in turn gives you ___ amount of spaces (instead of actual levels) to move on the Grid. For every 1 AP you can move forward 1 or back 4.
To use a spot (or node) on the grid, you must have the required Sphere (Mana, Power, Speed, etc). You get these spheres after battles and each one can be used once. Each Sphere activates different nodes, so if you don’t have the necessary Sphere you can’t get the node’s benefits. The basic spheres are relatively easy to get if you just wander into a few random battles.
To use a Sphere on a node, just press O and your list of Sphere will open up. The proper Sphere should be highlighted if you have it, and then you just point and click to use it.
For example: say you move Tidus onto a Speed Node at the cost of 1 AP. You press O and open the menu. If you have a Speed Sphere you can use it to bump his speed up, but if you don’t have one then you can either wait until you earn one after a battle or move on to the next node. You do have one, so you use it and Tidus’s speed increases. Now you can continue on at the cost of 1 AP, or go backwards 4 nodes (for 1 AP) if you missed a node.
Hope that helps!
Not sure what sphere you’re talking about, but here’s a little advice on the good ones like White or Black magic spheres, Skill spheres etc..
Save them until you can use them to get the best abilities. I hope this isn’t considered spoiling but save the first skill spheres for auron & wakka so they can learn mug, save the 4 Black magic spheres for Yuna and don’t use them until Lulu gets the third level elemental spells or even Flare. Get steal on as many characters as possible. Save the white magic ones to let others learn Full life, Auto life, Holy etc…Now for the other sphers like MP, HP, Magic, etc.. I save those until I get to something I know I want the others to have. You will be far in the game by this time and if you notice the good stuff is surrounded by level 4 key spheres. After you activate one of those it turns into an empty node so, then use the MP & HP etc…spheres so when you have another player go over there they will get powered up by the MP, HP etc… spheres as well. Its better this way than to just give it to one person. Hope this helps
If you’re talking about thhe Sphere Grid
here is a simple way to understand it
The Sphere Grid
In the sphere grid, you can do the following :-
1- Learn new abilities like Black Magic, White Magic, Special Attacks …etc.
2- Raise your character’s atributes (strength, defense, agility …etc.)
——————————–
How to do it ?
A- Sphere Levels
You use Sphere Levels to move from a node to another
and you can get them by gaining enough AP from battles.
B-Activating Nodes
To activate nodes on the Sphere Grid, you’ll need special Spheres
the most common ones are
Power Sphere
Speed Sphere
Ability Sphere
Mana Sphere
^How to know which one to use ?
don’t worry … just select Use and the spheres which you can use are available while the ones you can’t use are gray and cannot be selected.
Another rule for activating a node is your position on the Sphere Grid
in order to activate a node, you must have your cursor either on that node… or on a node which is connected to the wanted node by a line.
Examples ^
“O” is a node
“( )” is the cursor
“…..” think of them as spaces (invisible lines)
———-
(Oa’) —- Ob’
…………..
……………
…………….Oc’
in the above example, you can only activate node a’ and node b’
——
….Oa’……………….
…… ……………….Od’
……………………. /
………(Ob’) ——- Oc’
While in this example, you can activate the nodes a’, b’ and c’
—–
….Oa’…Ob’
………../
……(Oc’)
……/…..
….Od’….Oe’
However in this example, you can activate all 5 nodes (a’,b’,c’,d’ and e’)
