Lisa Beels makes homemade baby rice cereal with bananas for new eaters! Baby food.
I picked this up from another question. My daughter loves baby cereal which I make quite thick, but isn’t fond of baby food. I think this is because it’s too thin. Is it safe to add rice cereal flakes to commercial baby food to thicken it? I can’t imagine it not being safe, but just want to be sure.
Is it worth the money to buy organic baby foods rather than regular gerber baby foods? If my baby has already been eating the regular stuff for a couple of months is it beneficial to him to start eating organic now? And what about buying fresh organic veggies and making my own baby food? How do you do it? What is the shelf life? Is it more or less expensive–since I’d like to give him the same variety I am able to give him on gerber?
My son will be 3months on saturday and i was just wondering if it was too early to start him off on baby food and rice cereal?
Thanks for your help.
Ragi porridge is given as the first food for babies can be started as early as 4 months( most docters recommend to start solids after 6 months).
